Issue Summary
With new BRIE feature , We can only restore data to a product that's on the same shard as the backed-up product.
Currently there is no option available to restore new BRIE backups to same tenant.
Steps to Reproduce
- Go to admin.atlassian.com. Select your organization if you have more than one.
- Select Settings > Data management > Backup and restore.
- Create a backup policy and generate new backup for any product for e.g. Confluence.
- Now try to restore this backup.
Expected Results
We should have an option to restore backup to same tenant i.e. same Confluence instance for which backup is generated.
Actual Results
We can only restore data to the same product with different empty cloud instance but with same shard as the backed-up product.
Workaround
- Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
- Customers can use legacy backupManager to generate backup and restore it for same cloud instance
