Severity 3 - Minor
Issue Summary
Admins can request a sandbox to be deleted by the deletion request, or it will transition to this state due to inactivity. You should be able to see it in the sandbox's list as deleted or offline, and you can choose for it to be permanently deleted or to restore it (within 30 days).
However, even though the user has not requested the Confluence sandbox deletion if the sandbox was migrated to the new billing system, it automatically adds the Confluence sandbox (Jira sandboxes are not being affected) to the offline state, however, users are not able to restore the Confluence sandbox or see it in the list at all.
Steps to Reproduce
- Access your admin.atlassian.com > Products
- Click on Sandbox in the left sidebar
- Make sure you have Confluence Cloud product on the Premium subscription
- Check the sandboxes's list and confirm Confluence isn't there
- Try to create a new Confluence sandbox (the option will be unavailable)
- If you are seeing a previously created Confluence sandbox, try to restore it
Expected Results
You should be able to create new Confluence sandbox since there is no Confluence sandbox in the list.
You should be able to restore a Confluence sandbox if they are showing in the sandboxes list.
Actual Results
The sandbox for Confluence is not possible to be restored and can disappear from the UI list after the restore attempt. Sandbox for Confluence is not accessible.
Sometimes, the Confluence sandbox is not showing in the sandbox's list UI, but you can't create a new one.
Workaround
Get in touch with Atlassian Support to double check if this is the scenario for your sandbox and apply an internal workaround for your Confluence Sandbox to be available again.
