Trashed custom fields in Production  appear as Active in Sandbox after Copy production Data.

Suggestion
After Copy Production Data, The custom fields in production Trashed should appear in Sandbox trashed and not in Active

Work around:

Delete the trashed custom fields permanently from Production before running Copy Production Data.
