      1. Create a project PROJ in Cloud Site (created before 3-Jul-2023) having a permission "Delete Issues" which has group association with one of the groups "site-admins".
      2. Migrate PROJ to a new Cloud site (created after 3-Jul-2023)

      Expected Results

Project should migrate without any error

      Actual Results

Project migration fails with below error

      Chunk Migration Error: DefaultEntityMigrationError(dateTime=2024-01-22T11:16:56.309983451Z, entityId=mri:mig:jira/classic:permissionScheme:10003, reason=IllegalStateException: Errors: {holder.parameter=Group 'site-admins' does not exist} Error Messages: [], actionToResolve=null, numDownstreamFailures=14900, severity=ERROR)

      Workaround

There are 2 ways to resolve this issue.

      • You can create a site-admins group on destination cloud. It won't have admin permissions to administer the site, but you can grant the group administer permission on products as needed and retry the migration.
        Or
      • You can replace site-admins with org-admins in the source permission scheme and retry the migration.
