Issue Summary
After reset of a site, data residency is set to default. This affects customers who have opted for data residency in a specific region.
This is reproducible on Data Center: (no)
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a test site
- Migrate some data
- Set data residency to "AU" (for example)
- Reset site as per https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloudkb/reset-and-delete-all-data-from-your-cloud-site-691012037.html
- Data residency is reset (global/multi-region)
Expected Results
Data residency is unaltered after reset of site
Actual Results
Data residency for the tenant is reset to default, causing any further migration to risk customer's data in a region different from what they expected.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available.
The only option for customers, as of now, is to raise a request with Atlassian Support to ensure data residency is set to their intended region after any reset of site.
