When performing the Copy production data to Sandbox function, provide site admins the option to copy all group members or not.

At the moment according to the documentation, the group membership won't be copied.

Product access settings (you’ll need to add users to groups for permissions to apply)

I would like to preserve the membership. Using groups vs per-user permissions is one of the cornerstones of users management best practices, and redoing all group membership for several hundred moreover thousand users is quite confusing.

This is not a 'feature request'.  It is technical debt that is expected functionality for sandbox creation.  Manually repopulating groups is unacceptable.

+1 to this issue. Our organisation is large and groups are used for provisioning access to projects. If we want to run a test pilot in a sandbox adding in the users would be tedious.

Agree with Yevgen that product access would be nice to not be added to avoid the whole organisation being able to see and access the sandbox. Perhaps allow us to choose which groups will come across as well?

This at least should cover membership in groups which are not related to the product access.
