Today, you can sign up for certain Atlassian cloud products (Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence) under the subdomain of your choice. For example, if your company is Acme, you can host these products under acme.atlassian.net

It would be nice to have a IP address to point internal DNS at that will provide a http 301 permanent redirect to the new domain name. For instance Jira.acme.com would redirect to acme.atlassian.net. This way users would not need to run a web server internally to get the redirect.

This could ease the release of CLOUD-6999 where users will want to point back to Jira.acme.com after moving from acme.atlassian.net.

[CLOUD-11349] IP address to provide a 301 redirect to new domain

I would very much like to be able to create a CNAME or A (or AAAA) record to point my local DNS at my Cloud instance. Some of my users are definitely going to try going to our now retired Confluence URL. Sending them to the atlassian.net domain would be great.
