The functionality of the checkbox fields is not the same ever since switching to the new view. In order to see all the check boxes you have to click on the field and it shows them like a multiple pick drop down. Check boxes are supposed to be shown even if they are not checked, because the empty boxes prompt someone to take that action and check it off as complete. They can't do that if it's not visible. In the create screen, the check box field is displayed properly. Can you mimic that display with the new view screen?
