As a User, I want to control major version upgrades

Currently major version upgrades are applied without notice and there is no possibility to avoid it.

If there are major version upgrades which eg. are massively changing the UX and workflows I'm used to I don't want it to be applied automatically. I want to get thing done and updates like the new Jira experience are just disturbing my work.

I'm happy to see overall improvements and it might be better if starting from scratch with Jira but if you are used to older Jira versions you would be much faster to get things done without the new experience you did not opt for.

As I can see here you still have the top menu bar here and this does not match the 'eat you own dogfood' policy a Jira employee has been advertised on a JAX conference a few years ago. If you don't use it yourself don't use your paying customers as laboratory animals!
