Resolution: Won't Fix
Description
On iOS mobile devices (iPad, iPhone) the web browser version automatically defaults to a ‘mobile’ version of the website, however there isn’t a mobile version of the website, so it comes up in error.
It’s very hard to find your way back to the desktop version from that error, and if you close and open the page again, it goes back to the ‘mobile’ version again.
Furthermore, if you manage to switch to the desktop version on your mobile device, there is a constant prompt at the top of the page asking you to switch to the mobile version, which again takes you to the error as the mobile version doesn’t exist.
It’s essential that if there isn’t to be a mobile version – which is fine as the desktop version is more than sufficient – that the default site on mobile devices is the desktop site, and that the prompt to move to the mobile version at the top of the page is removed. There should be no way to get to the ‘mobile’ version from a mobile device, as a mobile version doesn’t exist.
