Bitbucket starts even if the git plugin fails to start

Bitbucket will start even if the bitbucket-git plugin fails to start. This severely impacts what can be done in the application, and it may be unusable or unstable.

Bitbucket does not start and states an error message that the git plugin failed to start.

Actual Results

Bitbucket starts.

Workaround

Fix the issue preventing the bitbucket-git plugin from correctly starting.

Many features will not be available in the application, we have seen reports of the following in the past:

• Git operations (e.g. clone/push)
• "object does not exist; check ./git/objects/info/alternates" messages in the user interface when browsing commits view
