    Description

      Problem Definition

With the addition of Dashboards, the unauthenticated homepage layout change from showing only public projects to showing all public shared and personal repositories.

      Suggested Solution.

      • Change the layout back
        OR
      • Add an option to change the homepage layout back

      Why this is important

We use public repositories to advertise major projects/repositories that we want people outside of R&D to see and have access to. Personal repositories are not included in that list. Under the previous behavior, these public personal repos were not actively advertised to [unauthenticated] users.

As an admin, I don't really want to advertise peoples personal repositories.

Ultimately, I'm looking for control of what's visible to outside users. If they are given a direct Git URL for a public personal repo, I expect them to be able to clone that repo I just don't want it advertised on the front page of Bitbucket.

      Workaround

Identify all users with public personal repositories and ask them to make them private.
