    • We collect Bitbucket feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

A very useful feature in BitBucket Cloud is the ability to configure custom links in Settings->Integrations->Links. This allows my team to link ticket numbers in commit messages to our internal issue tracker. Unfortunately we are not able to use BB Cloud for all of our projects; please port this feature to BB Server.

Please implement this. This would make Bitbucket Server so much more useful in corporate environment where you have legacy / custom systems for tracking Issues but still want to have a close relationship to Bitbucket Server.

Buglink is a nice addition but as already said it doesn't apply to the commit list.

            Thank you!

Ah I see, that makes sense. Thanks for the update - I'll re-open this as a feature request then

John, thanks for the suggestion. We have tried Buglink, which is similar except for two limitations:

            • it only shows up in pull requests
            • the links appear in a sidebar rather than in the context where they originate (the commit message), as they do in Bitbucket Cloud (see the hyperlinked ticket number in the commit messages):

Hopefully this feature is easily transferable from BB Cloud; it would be a great help to our team. Thanks!

jcupps2129592110, oh I see, apologies for misunderstanding. Is the Buglink addon something that would suit your needs for this? From the looks of it you can configure that in a very similar manner to the way a custom Bitbucket Cloud custom link is configured.

If that's something that won't work for you, we can re-open this suggestion

John, thanks for the reply. The "Add a Custom Link" feature I'm referring to in BitBucket Cloud allows you to link to any arbitrary URL, not just Atlassian products (see screenshot). This is very useful for my team as our historical commit log references tickets from our internal issue tracker.

Since you are aiming for convergence between Cloud and Server, please add this to the list of features to incorporate into Server if it isn't already. Thanks!

            Hi jcupps2129592110,

Bitbucket Server has a feature called Application Links that allows you to set up integrations with other Atlassian products such as JIRA and Bamboo. Please take a look at Integrating Bitbucket Server with Atlassian applications in our documentation.

            Regards,
