For example, say I want to create a new branch branching from "release".
I type "release" into the branch picker ...

... and now I have to scroll through pages and pages of

Until I finally find "release" ... yes, hard to beleive, but thats the one I wanted!

Making it worse, I can't just hit enter and say "really, give me 'release' - I know what I am doing" - I am forced to actually select the correct value in the drop-down.
