Markdown mailto links broken in README files

      A link like

      [test](mailto:x@x.com)

      Doesn't work in Markdown. A link is created, but points nowhere. A link like:

      [test](mailto:x@x.com;y@y.com?subject=test)

      Isn't even parsed correctly and doesn't turn into a link.
