Allow ECDSA SSH keys in key management

    • We collect Bitbucket feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

      Currently, Stash does not support ECDSA SSH keys (only because the front-end rejects them as invalid) and only allows DSA and RSA2 key types. Please add support for ECDSA keys.

            Hi all,

            ECDSA SSH keys will be supported as of Stash 3.11. We're tracking ED25519 support in STASH-7584.

            This has been labeled as "Small Improvement" and I just want to make sure that everyone knows --> while it does only take a "small improvement" / change in the code, it provides a vastly more secure crypto algorithm for the SSH Keys.

            ED25519 support would also be nice as it is better protected from side channel attacks, as well as being built with speed in mind (see: http://ed25519.cr.yp.to/).
