the search box only searches for prefixes

If i have projects "libxpc" and "xpcservice", and I search for "xpc" then the only thing I see is xpcservice. It seems the only way to search for a project by substring is to scroll through the projects list to get javascript to load the whole thing and then search with cmd-f. Not fun.
