My e-diff setting is often reset

    Description

      I don't like e-diff so I use the shift + e keyboard shortcut to turn it off, but it seems to reset very frequently which is annoying. I assume it's stored in localStorage and I'm not clearing my browser cache or anything, so I'm not sure why this is happening.
