Back button doesn't work after auto navigating into sub directory

Scenario:
Repository with this structure:
.
├── dir_a
│   └── dir_b
│   └── file_a.txt
└── folder_a
└── folder_b
└── folder_c
└── test.txt

Clicking on dir_a or folder_a will redirect you to file_a.txt or test.txt, but clicking on back will get you stuck in dir_a or folder_a instead of taking you back to the repository root.
