I like the way GitHub does this in their file browser.

There are another two columns which display:

• the beginning of the message attached to the respective file's latest commit (a clickable link that takes you to the commit detail page) and
• the relative date of that latest commit.
  For folders, the details of the newest file it contains are taken.

I think this would be a valuable enhancement for Stash.

(Also, from an aesthetic point of view, the file browser currently looks kind of empty only containing short file names but spanning the whole page width )
