Missing AD group in Stash Project getting bypassed from Audit Log

When an AD group gets modified or removed from the DC, it magically disappears from the Stash Project it is associated with and does not get picked up by the Audit Logs. There is no mechanism to notify the users or administrators that that group was removed or modified from the DC. The group should at least be disabled but not removed to give the administrator a chance to troubleshoot the access issues.
