Atlassian status as of April 2017

      Hi everyone,

The ability for pull request authors and repository administrators to delete pull requests is under active development for inclusion in an upcoming release of Bitbucket Server. This issue will be closed with a fix version indicating which release includes the change, once it has passed review and QA. We appreciate your patience.

      Best regards,
      Bryan Turner

Some pull requests created by mistake may be deleted, not declined. Bitbucket Sever should allow deleting pull requests.

[BSERV-3134] Ability to delete Pull Requests

There are other issues where "smash my head" seems relevant, but I don't understand why this one.

The fixVersion says 5.1 above, and you can see it in the release notes from 2017:

            https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucketserver/bitbucket-server-5-1-release-notes-902140366.html

            Pull request deletion

Next up is a highly requested improvement to our pull request workflow, the ability to delete open or declined pull requests. Have you ever created a pull request by mistake? Or found a pull request was obsolete? In Bitbucket Server 5.1, irrelevant pull requests can now be deleted (instead of merely declined), leaving your pull request history nice and clean. Pull request deletion is now enabled by default for pull request authors and repository administrators.

            It even has pictures.

So, let's reserve the anger for the ones that deserve it, please.

This project is for Bitbucket Server, which has support for deleting pull requests. You'll want to vote for/watch BCLOUD-8089 for Cloud support.

It's September 2020, where this is feature?  I have three pull requests I would like to delete in Bitbucket Cloud.

Not believing this strange disconnect between the two products (nor why it wasn't automatically added as a feature for the other product anyway), I've added it for bitbucket.org: https://bitbucket.org/site/master/issues/14553/delete-pull-requests

            jay.altschuler397980556,

This is for Bitbucket Server only. Bitbucket Cloud and Bitbucket Server are 100% distinct applications, without any code in common (largely owing to one being written in Java and the other in Python). As far as I'm aware, Bitbucket Cloud doesn't even have an issue requesting pull request deletion (I can't find one in their tracker). I can't offer any insight into when, or if, a similar feature might ship for Cloud.

Will this be rolled out to Bitbucket cloud?
