Customers using Bitbucket Data Center often need to generate support zip files for troubleshooting purposes.
These zip files can contain sensitive data, including Personally Identifiable Information (PII), which poses a significant challenge for customers, particularly those in government sectors.
Due to strict compliance and data protection regulations, these customers must manually inspect and redact sensitive information before sending support zip files to Atlassian Support. This process is labor-intensive, time-consuming, and prone to human error.
Proposed Solution:
Feature within Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket Data Center that automatically identifies, anonymizes, obfuscates, and redacts sensitive data within support zip files. This tool should provide the following functionalities:
1. Automatic Identification: Automatically detect sensitive data, such as PII, financial information, and other confidential details, within support zip files.
2. Anonymization/Obfuscation: Replace identified sensitive data with anonymized or obfuscated placeholders. For example, replace names, email addresses, and phone numbers with generic placeholdersÂ
3. Redaction: Provide options for full redaction of sensitive content, ensuring that critical data is not visible or accessible in any form. This includes the ability to redact entire sections or specific fields within files.
4. Customizable Rules: Allow customers to define custom rules for data anonymization and redaction based on their specific requirements and compliance standards. This includes the ability to specify additional data patterns to search for and redact.
5. Audit and Reporting: Generate detailed audit logs and reports that document the anonymization and redaction process, helping customers maintain compliance and transparency.
6. User Interface: Provide an intuitive user interface that allows users to review detected sensitive data, customize redaction settings, and preview the modified support zip file before submission.
