      Problem Definition

      We need to change our URL for Bitbucket. That means changing the base URL and redirecting from the old URL to the new one without using a reverse proxy.

      Suggested Solution

      Provide an option to use the urlrewrite.xml capability as in other Atlassian products.

      Why This Is Important

      This will enable users who use the old URL to still have access to Bitbucket by being redirected to the new URL.

      Workaround

      Use a reverse proxy.
