Update the Mesh Docs for Bitbucket >=9.3.x to explicitly mention Support for Multi-AZ Deployment of Bitbucket Application Nodes

XMLWordPrintable

    • We collect Bitbucket feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

Currently, the Bitbucket Mesh Whitepaper for Bitbucket >=9.3.x does not explicitly state that deploying Bitbucket application nodes across multiple availability zones (Multi-AZ) is supported when all repositories have been migrated to Remote Mesh.

Additionally, the Bitbucket Mesh Availability Zones documentation for Bitbucket >=9.3.x must be updated to include this information.

Update to be Added to the Documentation

      1. Deploying application nodes to different availability zones is supported when all repositories have been migrated to Mesh.
      2. The slight additional latency incurred between Bitbucket Application Node <--> Remote Mesh and Bitbucket Application Node <--> Database Server may slightly impact performance. Customers should evaluate these trade-offs when planning a high-availability deployment.
      3. Based on our testing, the additional latency generally does not have a noticeable impact on the performance of the application.
