Currently Bitbucket Data Center does not support the Subject Alternative Name attribute RFC822 Name for checking whether an email address is present on a signing X.509 certificate to match to a user in Bitbucket Data Center. This causes commits and tags which are signed with X.509 certificates that have that attribute populated to fail verification and appear as not verified.
