Actual Results
When checked with the color contrast analyzer tool, the color contrast of the mentioned text with the surroundings is failing with the following details →
The placeholder text "Filter repositories by name” in the default state.
Foreground-#7A869A
Background-#FAFBFC
Ratio-3.6.1
As a result, users who cannot distinguish between the colors would have difficulty reading through the content.
Expected Results
Ensure all texts that appear have a color contrast difference of at least 4:5:1 with the surrounding to ensure that users who cannot distinguish between the colors can still find the texts.
Increase the color contrast of text to achieve a ratio of 4:5:1 which will help in fixing this issue.
A color contrast analyzer can be downloaded from Color Contrast Checker - TPGi
Workaround
Currently, there is no known workaround for this behaviour. A workaround will be added here when available.
