In some cases it is very difficult to identify the actual author of a commit.

• Bitbucket may show commits with the author from git config, that doesn't have to map to an existing Bitbucket user.
• The use of SSH access keys for system use, or SSH user keys for personal use may make the identification of actual author a very complex process.

The quick identification of the actual author may be required for audits, and other purposes.
Please provide some way to easily identify the actual author of each commit.
