Description
In a certain cases when the user management is deleaged to a remote team managing LDAP directory it can be required to quickly share the repository access with a wide auditory to facilitate cross-project collaboration.
With a current functionality it can be done in two ways which have certain disadvantages:
- Create a group to have all the users (or keep stash-users as such group) and share it with the group. Disadvantage here is that it creates additional complexity in the permissions and user management while not giving indication that the repository is shared with a wide audience.
- Enable public access. Such option will give the anonymous read access to the repository which is not acceptable for some environments like fintech, banking etc, when all the access should be logged and no anonymous access allowed.
Solution
Provide the option of the public access to be enabled with "anonymous access" and "licensed-only access".
