I would like to be able to deep link in to edit mode for specific files so that I can immediately begin to edit them in the browser. This would be helpful for instance for:

• Suggesting edits to a file in a pull request comment (perhaps in this case linking to a specific line would be helpful too)
• Linking to an "edit me" link for documentation or documents of a similar nature.
• Linking to edit mode from Readme docs or contributing guidelines
