Description
Background:
My organization currently uses groups, which map to development teams, to control read/write access to our Bitbucket repositories. Depending on priorities and resource allocation, developers from other teams may be temporarily reallocated. In this case, we temporarily assign permissions to the individual user, which are then manually removed at a later date. Depending on timing, this can result in a developer having elevated permissions for longer than necessary.
Request:
When creating permissions, we would like to be able to specify one of the following:
- The permission is ongoing
- The date the permission expires
- How many days the permission is valid for
For all permissions that are not ongoing, we would like Bitbucket to automatically remove the permission once it is no longer valid. The automated removal should be recorded in the audit log for tracking purposes. Viewing permissions through the admin UI should clearly indicate when/if the active permissions expire.
