Hi,
Good news! In Bitbucket Data Center 7.2, we added BranchCreatedEvent and BranchDeletedEvent to the Audit log. These events will be audited if the coverage level of End-user activity is set to Advanced. For more information, please read Audit log docs.
Alternatively, in Bitbucket Server 7.1 we shipped Push log feature that can help you find the author and creation date of a branch. For more information, please read Bitbucket Server 7.1 release notes and Push log docs.

Problem Definition
The audit logging focused more towards project and repository events, in order to focus more towards the branch activities, it would be great to see the branchevent to be added into audit logging as well.
Currently, the branch event that being logged is RepositoryDefaultBranchModifiedEvent which does being logged upon modification to the repository. It would be great to see whom and when responsible for branch creation
Why is this important?
This would allow admin users to have more visibility into branch activities in the repository.
