Working with a Git-Flow approach and well spaced out release cycles, pull requests for future releases often sit approved and not merged for significant periods, as release builds are scheduled for testing after all changes are merged, to ensure that all features and fixes for that release function together as expected. In the meantime the current release is actively worked on and tested as per the develop=>feature=>develop=>release branch flow, so the develop branch remains reserved for the current release.
Accordingly, it would be very useful if the pull requests page allowed users to filter Approved pull requests in and out of the list, as this would reduce list sizes, clarify items pending review, and allow easy oversight of already approved items by a team leader.
