git pull is failing

      I get the following error when I run a git pull:

      #!python

remote: error: Could not read 989a72def33e5c3da01ab9261fdc0c1aaa071693
remote: fatal: revision walk setup failed
remote: aborting due to possible repository corruption on the remote side.
fatal: protocol error: bad pack header

      I get similar errors when trying to commit as well.

      Please help me resolve this ASAP.
