Summary
Currently, Bitbucket Cloud Forge supports repository-level main menu modules `bitbucket:repoMainMenuPage` and workspace-level global pages `bitbucket:workspaceGlobalPage`, but does not offer a project-level main menu module.
At the project level, the only available Forge module is `bitbucket:projectSettingsMenuPage`, which is restricted to the Project Settings navigation.
Use Case & Problem Statement
App developers and marketplace partners developing project-scoped reporting, metrics, and dashboards (e.g., project-wide graphs and reports) need a direct entry point in the main project navigation sidebar.
Currently, developers have to implement a workaround using a `bitbucket:workspaceGlobalPage` with an in-app project selector. This introduces significant user friction:
- The user must know the global page exists.
- The user must navigate to the workspace page.
- The user must open the selector and manually choose a project (requiring multiple clicks for a basic project-level view).
Suggested Solution / Feature Request
Introduce a dedicated project-level main menu module in Forge (e.g., `bitbucket:projectMainMenuPage` or `bitbucket:projectPage`) that:
- Renders an item in the Bitbucket project sidebar/main menu navigation.
- Provides the standard Bitbucket project context (`workspace`, `project` key/UUID) to the Forge app.
- Supports Custom UI and UI Kit rendering.
