Invites are not sent if previous invitation attempts are not canceled

      Issue Summary

      • It's been noted that in multiple events, if an invitation is sent to a user and it's not received for any reason (SMTP failures, suppression lists, Atlassian mail preferences), after fixing the reason why the invite was not delivered, if the admin doesn't cancel the original invite, simply re-inviting the user won't work.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Have an account access their email preferences center and unmark product invitations
      2. Try to invite this user (The invite should not be sent)
      3. Ask the user to re-enable product invitations
      4. Try to invite the user again

      Expected Results

      • The invitation should be sent

      Actual Results

      • The invitation will not be sent unless the admin first cancels the initial invitation attempt and then sends a new one.

      Workaround

      • Navigate to the group you tried to invite the user to, and under the "Pending invitations" expand, cancel the current invitation for that user before sending a new invite.
