Issue Summary
- If you attempt to change your Bitbucket Cloud workspaceID to a username (not workspaceID) which is already taken/reserved, you will get a generic error message, which is not meaningful
Steps to Reproduce
- Navigate to Workspace Settings > General and click Change next to the current workspaceID
- Try to change it to something that's already reserved (username)
- Observe the generic error page that's returned:
Something went wrong While we check things on our end, try refreshing the page. If reloading the page doesn’t help, check our status page for known incidents or planned maintenance.
Expected Results
- A meaningful error message is displayed, something like "This workspace ID is not available." that is returned when changing to a reserved workspaceID
Actual Results
- Generic Something Went Wrong error page
Workaround
- The workaround would be to simply pick a workspaceID that isn't already taken and change it to this - it's not clear based on the error message that this is the case, however
