Pull Request auto-description does not continuously update on branch change

XMLWordPrintable

      Issue Summary

When creating a Pull Request, a PR description should auto-populate, based on the branches selected, that should contain information about the commits present in the diff. While this does successfully occur at first, after a few seconds, when changing the selection of either source or destination, the title and commits will update but the description will not.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Open the "create a PR" page.
      2. Select a source and destination branch
      3. Note the auto-generated description
      4. Change the source/destination branch selector again
      5. Note that the description from before is still present. No new description generated

      Expected Results

If the title and description have not yet been manually altered, the description should continue to be auto-generated when switching source/destination branches.

      Actual Results

The auto-generated PR description will stay the same when switching branches.

      Workaround

      • Go to the Branches page.
      • Select the branch that will be the source branch for your pull request.
      • Choose the destination branch from the drop-down menu or leave the default selection.
      • Click on the "Create pull request" button.
      • The selected branches will appear on the PR creation page.
      • The description will be auto-filled based on your branch selections from the previous step
