Issue Summary

When using the migrate feature in the Bitbucket Issues overview to migrate to Jira Issues, many of the features available in Bitbucket Issues are lost:

• Images in issue description are not migrated.
• Images in issue comments are not migrated.
• Formatting in issue comments is not migrated.
• Some comments appear to be missing entirely.
• Commenter identity is lost. All comments show as being from the user who did the migration.
• Issue "Details" like Reporter, Assignee, etc are not migrated.

This series of differences blocks some users from migrating from Bitbucket Issues to Jira Issues.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Login
2. Setup Bitbucket Issues with the above points
3. Navigate to the Issues Overview and select the Migrate button to migrate to JIRA

Expected Results

• Images would appear as hyperlinks, as noted in: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/BCLOUD-21239
• Formatting in issue comments is not migrated.
• Issue "Details" like Reporter, Assignee, etc would be migrated.
• Commenter identity would remain.
• Formatting would be retained in migration
• All comments should be present

Actual Results

• No image hyperlinks occur.
• Formatting is removed
• Issue "Details" like Reporter, Assignee, etc are not migrated.
• Commenter identity is lost. All comments show as being from the user who did the migration.
• Formatting in issue comments is not migrated.
• Some comments appear to be missing entirely.

Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
