The build status is not refreshed in the pull request UI when it is updated using the REST API and no notification is shown

      Problem Definition

      When creating or updating the build status for a commit via the build status REST API, there is no notification in the UI for the users looking at the corresponding pull request.

       

      The build status information is also not refreshed automatically.

       

      Because of this, the users will not know when a build is complete as the UI will show "0 builds" or the results of an earlier build:

      Suggested Solution

      Provide a notification to the users informing them that the pull request has been updated. For example, when assigning a PR via the REST API or adding a comment, a "This pull request was updated" notification is presented:

      As alternative, the UI could be automatically refreshed.

      Workaround

      Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available.
