Problem Definition

At the moment, there is no way to restrict the Docker image that is used in the bitbucket-pipelines.yml file either for the build container or for service containers.

Some admins would like to restrict which Docker images can be used in the bitbucket-pipelines.yml file for security reasons.

Suggested Solution

The preferable way would be to provide a setting for allowed images either in the Repository settings or in Workspace settings, so that developers who are not admins cannot override it.
