Description
Issue Summary
Sometimes the code search feature on Bitbucket Cloud provides outdated results. The results are not aligned with the searched term, returning data from past commits.
Steps to Reproduce
- Search for a term in the code search.
- The results returned are not what the user searched for.
Expected Results
The data returned in the code search has the searched term
Actual Results
The search returns constant data but not the searched term.
Workaround
If you prefer to manually trigger a reindex of your code, you can push or commit a new change to the main branch of your repository. This will automatically trigger a reindex of your code in our search service. This can be a quicker alternative to raising a support ticket and waiting for our team to perform the reindexing for you.
Please note that if you are unable to push or commit a new change to the main branch, you can still raise a support ticket to request a manual reindexing of your code. Our team will be happy to assist you in resolving any issues you may encounter.
Additionally, please let our support team know if you encounter any issues with automatic reindexing after pushing or committing a new change to the main branch.
If reindexing doesn't solve, we are aware of another bug (BCLOUD-22107) related to the inconsistency in the number of results returned in the query.
