Show who created the branch when a jira card is updated via a branch creation trigger

    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

When using Jira integration with Bitbucket Cloud, if the workflow is configured in such a way that a given Jira issue has its status automatically changed (i.e. going from "to do" to "in progress") when a branch is created on Bitbucket the system currently shows the last user who had a commit on the source branch as the author of the status change.

As it stands there are situations where the history within Jira will be incorrect as it could have someone unrelated to that particular issue shown as updating the status/working on it, so it would be interesting if Bitbucket could report the creator of the branch (likely the user that's authenticated when that change was made) instead of picking up the last commit's author from the source branch.
