Currently, it's only possible to define a general set of Default Task in Repository settings, that will apply to all the Pull Requests regardless of the source/target branches (except pull requests targeting release branches, which will not include the default tasks).

It would be great to have the ability to define the Default Tasks based on the branch naming/pattern.

For example, have default tasks in release branches only.
