Is: There are multiple merge checks a customer can enable. In Bitbucket Premium, they also can enforce these merge checks.

However, automation can not easily check the merge check status. They either have to:

• Blindly merge the pull request, violating the merge checks. Unless with Bitbucket Premium, where then the merge fails.

• They have to re-implement the merge checks, by reading the configuration and do the merge checks themself.

Therefore: Instead of re-implementing the merge checks by every tool, there should be a REST api which allows the tool to check the merge check status.
