Currently, the branching model (Repository Settings >> Branching model) only permits changing the Development and Production branches, but does not allow you to change the main branch.

If you want to change the main branch you have to go to Repository Settings > General > Repository details > Expand ADVANCED  > Main branch .

It would be great if we coul change the Main branch directly from the Branching model page.
