Customers would like to have a 2 Factor Authentication facility that works alongside App Passwords for git related operations like Clone, push, pull, merge etc.

There are currently 2 Two Factor Authentication methods for Bitbucket -

1. Atlassian MFA which can be enabled when you login to the Atlassian Account.
2. Bitbucket 2SV which is related to the Bitbucket account only

Both of these methods are account specific and not repo specific. Customers are requesting an option to add a 2SV that works in tandem with App passwords so that an OTP is asked each time a git push or a git pull is made.
