Issue Summary

multiline code blocks get mangled into 1 line when tried to embed them in a list. The issue occurs in the pull request description editor, pull request comments editor.

Steps to Reproduce

1) Open a pull request.
2) In the description box, add a bullet or a numbered list. 
3) From one of those dots or number, <shift>-<enter> to a new line and click the 'code snippet' option
4) select any language and paste a valid multi-line code/query
5) save
6) depending on how the to save was executed, a page reload may be needed to see the state where the code/query was mangled into a 1-line state
