      Hello,
Could you please add LaTeX support for the MarkDown support in BitBucket?

Many project include very deep math and adding it will make documentation much easier.
Something like the "$ [Latex Code] $" and "$$ [Latex Code] $$" will be great.
      Just as in StackExchange sites.

      Thank You.

+1 we also need this, this can be implemented using a JS library rendering in the browser, so it should be easy to implement

I am adding to the cacophony of voices that would heavily use this feature.

            5 years..still no progress, too

What a shameful to zero response and zero progress, it is a totally wasting time who make the Bitbucket as their first choice.

Regret to in line with bitbucket.

When comparing Bitbucket to Gitlab it's really frustrating, that Bitbucket is still not supporting this.

As a scientist using Bitbucket, I would be extremely grateful if math rendering is supported in the README.md!
