From I've set up the mercurial exe globally, but when I try to create a new plan it gives some info message saying that mercurial is set to c:\program files(x86)... And then something about making sure mercurial is set up for your agents which surely it is since it's global and it knows it's set to he path already mentioned? I get no errors but when saving it stays on page and doesn't add anything

            From Nick's email:

The message I was getting is as follows:

Mercurial is currently set to use C:\Program Files (x86)\TortoiseHg\hg.exe as the Mercurial Executable on the Bamboo Server. To run a Mercurial build remotely please ensure that the Mercurial Executable capability is defined for the agents.

The config I'm trying to use is shown in the screenshot below.

Tied it down further. IE8 was defaulting to using 'Compatibility View' by default on Intranet sites. When in Compatibility mode, the drop down selection for the repository type has no effect and does not change the appropriate fields on screen. In fact no drop downs do where they do with compatibility mode turned off.

What browser versions are supposed to be supported out of interest?

            Nick

            Hi,

Apologies if it was unclear, that was only a snippet of the text I sent in. As it happens I seem to have identified what is causing the problem and I believe it to be a cross-browser issue. Originally I was using IE (8 to be specific) when attempting to set up a new Plan. Selecting Mercurial in the Repository drop down, was not changing the fields appropriately for Mercurial, instead it simply left the SVN fields in place. Switch to Chrome and the page seems to behave as expected; when you select Mercurial in the drop down, the fields all change relevant to Mercurial. I assume this must have caused the issue that when I tried to 'Create' the plan, it failed and stayed on the new plan page.

            Hope that helps,

            Nick

            Nick,

I'm not sure what is incorrect here - I understand that bamboo fails to create a new plan with mercurial repository. But I cannot reproduce this problem on my machine. What do you mean by "doesn't add anything" ? Could you give me exact steps I need to recreate this issue on my machine, or maybe do a screenshot showing the page-it-stays-after-saving?
I've got no clue what's going wrong...

            regards,
            ps
